Mr. & Mrs. Peralta dicen I Do

In a time when nothing is more certain than change, the commitment of two people to one another has become difficult and rare. Yet, by its scarcity, the beauty and value of this exchange have only been enhanced. ~Robert Sexton

With the combination of experiences and age, my mom and Al could have treated the idea of marriage with cynicism and fear. Instead, once they decided they were going to get married they maintained a wonderful childlike excitement and anticipation. I couldn't think of anyone better to love and care for my mother..And I am so incredibly happy that Al married my mom. and therefore it was an honor and a privilege to have been the photographer on their special day.

I know I'm not the best photographer out there, and I may not be that familiar with professional editing programs but these photos are, in my opinion, the best pictures I've ever taken. :P I can't help it.. admittedly I am completely biased, but I don't care. I love these photos because I oh-so love the people in them.

Chava Saenz, my sister in law, created all of the bouquets and wedding decor for my mom's special day.. and we can't thank her enough for taking the time to share her many talents with us!

My brother Pietro is 18, a lot older than a ring bearer should be, but rules didn't apply on this day.

Most men wouldn't be crazy about having a photo of them crying posted up for all to see, but that is whats so great about Al. He's too much of a man to care about what others would think. Those eyes could not be more filled with love for my momma if he tried.

There were several other portraits I took of family and friends that day, but I just had to include this one not only because of how gorgeous everyone looks (hello Chava! :) but because its a picture of 2 couples that exemplify love at its very finest.

Obviously I didn't take the next photo, but I wanted to include it because I love that all of her wedding decorations are on the table and that I got to be one of their witnesses!

And this photo should probably never be included in a "pro" wedding blog entry, but I just had to include it because its silly and fun, and yet oh so dear to me because of what it captured.

And I saved the best for last... can't begin to tell you how much I love these photos. My mom and Al are old-fashioned and incredibly silly and dorky with one another.. and I feel like these two images have captured that.

  3. Absolutely Gorgeous Photos!
What is best is the detail and how each photo captures the depth of the beautiful emotions of the day and the very special love shared between the bride and groom and everyone present.

I so enjoyed performing this special ceremony and experiencing the warmth and love of Patricia and Alvaro. The love they share radiates to everyone in their presence and it surely did on this day.

    It truly was an honot.
    Love always
